BIRDS OF THE PAMPA
Understanding the behavior and biology of birds, their anatomy, plumage, flight techniques, migration, feeding, song, reproduction, senses, customs, individual relationships, and much more. An in-depth look at the world of birds. A book which synthesizes what we know about birds from observations in the wild with research and studies, suggesting more questions then answers but opening new avenues of thought. All the birds (almost 150 species) were photographed in the Pampa of Argentina, an area of varied but open topography which permits observation, and in addition to being a year-round home to many species, also harbors boreal migrants during the austral summer and austral migrants fleeing the bitter Patagonian winter.
